Large Metal & Glass Sculptures

In 1994, I was approached by the homeowner’s association for the Privateer Condominium on Longboat Key in Sarasota, Florida; Tim Siebert, a well-known member of the Sarasota School of Architecture, designed the building. They decided to modernize all the architectural components of the entrance. They asked me to create sculptures and appointments aesthetically appropriate to the architect’s intent.

One day I received a phone call from a lovely lady who found my sculpture work by searching the internet. Google was working for me for a change. When I first met with Amy and her husband Oscar, I learned that they wanted to commission me to make a garden sculpture for their backyard in honor of her mother, who passed away. I felt very honored.

Creative Genius Process

Creative Genius was created as part of the Developer’s requirement by the City of Sarasota’s Public Art Program. I was contracted to do the work by Mark Kaufman and his partners, one of whom was the project architect, Jonathan Parks. The development is called Rosemary Square in the Rosemary District.
